Join the Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Barberton Public Library is a 501(c) 3 volunteer organization that exists to help enrich the programs and services provided by the Library. Through the Friends' donations, the Library is able to provide additional programs that are not available with the Library's tax-supported budget. The Friends hold book sales, manage Little Free Libraries, take book donations from the community, promote the Barberton Library's programs, and support the Library's endeavors.
Join the Friends by filling out a membership form, which are available at the Barberton Library's Customer Service Desk, and return it to the Library with your dues or donation enclosed. Contact the Friends at bplbookery@aol.com or message them on Facebook.
Friends Meetings
Regular bi-monthly meetings are on the third Wednesday of every other month in January, March, May, July, September, and November at 6:00 p.m. in the Spillette Meeting Room. All are welcome to attend.

Community Donations
The Friends accept donations from the community on the first and third Saturdays of the month between 11 AM and 1 PM. The Friends accept donations of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles, video games, and more. Donation Guidelines
Items must be in good condition, clean, and suitable for selling. The Friends will not accept any items that are broken, moldy, have mildew or excessive markings.
Items the Friends do not accept:
- Encyclopedias
- VHS Tapes
- Cassettes
- Unofficial copies
- Record/Albums
- Magazines
Little Free Libraries
The Friends of the Library manage five Little Free Libraries throughout Barberton. Here are the locations for each of the Little Free Libraries.
Avilee Webb /Elson Park Little Free Library located at 230 Elson Avenue, Barberton OH.
Barberton Moose Lodge 759 Little Free Library is located at 250 31st St. NW, Barberton OH.
Anna Bean Coffee Shop has a Little Free Library located at 4th St NW, Barberton OH.
Evangelical Friends Church / Barberton Intermediate School Little Free Library is located on Robinson St, Barberton OH.
Barberton Church of God has a Little Free Library located at 885 N. Summit St, Barberton OH.
