Home Delivery Service
Let us bring the Library to you! Reading and listening materials are made for everyone, even those who are unable to visit the Library in-person. Let us take the stress out of getting your lifeline to the literary world. If you find that regular visits to the Library are not possible, and you live in the Barberton City School District, we can deliver books, music, DVDs, magazines, and more to your door! This applies to different kinds of residences in the Barberton City School District, including: homes, apartments, and nursing facilities.
How does it work
Reference staff members select materials based on patron needs and interests. Library staff will then deliver and retrieve materials on a scheduled date and time. A staff member will help you sign up for a library card (if you do not already have one) and then have you fill out a questionnaire to help find or request items you will enjoy. Requests for specific authors, genres, titles, can be made or you may select your own materials.
We are more than happy to help you, your caregiver, or family members to make selections! Many of our home delivery patrons enjoy reading large print books and/or listening to audiobooks.
Who is eligible?
Any resident of the Barberton School District who is unable to visit the Library in-person. We are pleased to offer these services to accommodate a diverse range of needs, whether for short-term assistance or long-term arrangements. This service is designed to support patrons who are unable to visit the Library due to health-related issues, difficulties with transportation, or other circumstance: such as being a family member's caregiver or a new parent.
