Girls Who Code

Do you know a girl who is interested in computers and coding? Girls Who Code, a free program that aims to strengthen girls' skills in computer science, is coming to the library!

By joining Girls Who Code, girls in middle school and high school will have the opportunity to build confidence and create clear pathways from school into the computer and engineering workforce. They will be joined by a group of supportive peers and mentors who will help provide them with the tools they need to achieve success. Girls Who Code currently has almost 90,000 girls participating in all 50 states.

A Girls Who Code informational meeting will be held at the Barberton Public Library on September 10, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. The club is for girls in grades 5-12 and will meet on Mondays from 4:00-5:30 p.m. beginning on September 17.
