Chair Yoga for Beginners

Join us at the library to improve your flexibility by participating in a free chair yoga class. This gentle program is designed for seniors and individuals struggling with mobility. The class will be led by Colleen Hohl, a 200 hour certified yoga instructor from the Asheville Yoga Center in North Carolina.

The Great Lakes Theater Company presents The JabberwockyBased on the poem by Lewis Carroll,  the Jabberwocky bands two students together after being bullied by classmates. To avoid their tormentors, the students follow a secret map and escape to the Tulgey Wood. There they meet a king who begs them to save his people from the fearsome Jabberwocky!

Lake Erie Saxophone QuartetThe Lake Erie Saxophone Quartet (LESQ) will perform a variety of music ranging from classical to romantic, and popular hits well into the 21st century. While most of their venues are Cleveland based, LESQ is always excited to take their distinct sound out of the city, and bring saxophone music to anyone will to listen and enjoy.

for the film, movie production, and how the film went from box-office disappointment to eventual holiday favorite.

The movie It's A Wonderful Life will be shown on Monday, December 2,  at 5:00 pm.

"Against all challengers, Barberton proudly defends its title as "Fried Chicken Capital of the World." Founded by industrialist Ohio Columbus Barber, the city drew workers from around the globe, especially eastern Europe. Immigrants brought their traditions and their cuisine. In time, Barberton became home to five Serbian fried chicken restaurants, all within a two-mile radius." 

Join author, Ron Koltnow as he talks Barberton Chicken and his book, Barberton Fried Chicken: An Ohio Original. Copies of the book will be available for purchase, just in time for holiday gift giving.
