The Barberton Inn in 1894. The Barberton Inn, which was one of the most magnificent hotel structures in northern Ohio, occupied the entire block between Fourth Street NW, Fifth Street NW, Tuscarawas Avenue, and Park Avenue. The Inn faced Tuscarawas Avenue, and the windows on the Park Avenue side gave guests a grand view of Lake Anna. The Inn officially opened on January 26, 1895.

Students in grades 3-12 can come play a variety of video and board games and eat pizza with members of the Barberton Police Department. At the end of the program, each participant can choose a book to keep! Books and games provided through a donation from the Friends of the Barberton Public Library.

A veteran of both WWII and the Korean War, Ernie Stadvec has lived and worked in the Akron area for most of his life.  He combined his love of sports and aviation, becoming an airborne traffic and weather broadcaster, as well as a radio sports director.  He was able to return to the South Pacific with his son to investigate the mysterious fate of aviation legend Amelia
