Join us for crafts and games inspired by James Dean’s Pete the Cat books with a focus on Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party and Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes. A Pete the Cat storytime will take place at 5:15 p.m., followed by pizza and cupcakes. All of this fun will take place in the Spillette Meeting Room! This program is intended for children in grades K-4.

​2020 is the Year of the Rat. Wear red and join us for a program of graceful and festive music played on an assortment of traditional Chinese musical instruments. The year 2020 marks the 150th anniversary of the Chinese community settling in Cleveland, Ohio.
Audience members will be invited for a hands-on opportunity. Enjoy a sampling of tasty Chinese treats. Bring the whole family to this memorable event! No registration.

Celebrate Star Trek turning 50 years old with us as we screen the 2016 movie Star Trek Beyond. 

Dory (Ellen DeGeneres) is a wide-eyed, blue tang fish who suffers from memory loss every 10 seconds or so. The one thing she can remember is that she somehow became separated from her parents as a child. With help from her friends Nemo and Marlin, Dory embarks on an epic adventure to find them. Her journey brings her to the Marine Life Institute, a conservatory that houses diverse ocean species.

The Library is open until 8:00 pm for the Barberton Winter Wonderland Festival.  We will have special activities in the Children's Department as well as Teen Central and the Friends of the Library will hold a mini-sale in the lobby from 5:00 - 7:30 pm.
