School age children can join us for Spin! Boom! Pop! Mad Science will be here with experiments that defy gravity at 3:00 in the Spillette room.   

Throw on your favorite winter jammies for a gingerbread-themed family storytime. We will read books, sing songs, and create a craft. Then we will savor a gingerbread snack with hot chocolate while we watch Princess Poppy and Branch help the Bergens find a new holiday to celebrate. It will be the perfect way to end the day and celebrate the holiday season!

Join us for crafts and games inspired by James Dean’s Pete the Cat books with a focus on Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party and Pete the Cat and the Missing Cupcakes. A Pete the Cat storytime will take place at 5:15 p.m., followed by pizza and cupcakes. All of this fun will take place in the Spillette Meeting Room! This program is intended for children in grades K-4.

Got game? Barberton Police Department does! Students in grades 3-12, find out if you can keep up with Barberton’s finest by joining us at the Barberton Public Library, in partnership with the Barberton Police Department, to play life-sized board games, video games and more. Guess what? We have pizza too!

Are you curious about candy? Or do you just have a sweet tooth?  Join us for some fun, hands-on experiments and an M&M taste testing session.  This program is intended for children in grades K-8.

Children’s Activity Room
Join us for this energizing program, that will get kids up and moving, while helping them develop social, motor and listening skills.

Our programs are inclusive and welcoming to children of all abilities.  Families are encouraged to attend the program that best meets their child’s needs.

Students in grades K-8 can join us at the library for holiday stories, music, crafts and games. A variety of holiday crafts will be available to make for keeping or giving.

Join in the fun as the Cooking Caravan presents Tasty Tales. A group of artists, musicians and chefs will share stories, music, food and fun!  We will make our own soda and snacks.

Children birth to age 5, along with their caregivers, can join us for a performance by Joanie Calem. Her sing-along style and dancing will keep your children entertained and excited. With over 30 years of experience in the music industry, her family-oriented music programs are something you won’t want to miss.
