Middle School Mock Newbery Book Discussion

Join us to discuss some possibilities for the 2018 Newbery Award.  Choose one or more books from the list below, to read and discuss, or bring a new book to discuss.  Just remember to be eligible for the 2018 Newbery Medal, a book must have been published in 2017 and written by an author who is from, or currently living in, the United States.  Visit the American Library Associations website for more information about the Newbery Medal.    We will also be joined by Kimberly Alberts, Children’s Librarian at the Akron-Summit County Public Library, who was a member of the 2017 Newbery Committee!  Snacks will be provided.  For children in grades 5, 6, 7 & 8.
