In May 1977, which was really a long time ago, but in our galaxy right here, the Star Wars movie saga began. Thirty some years later, young adult author Alexandra Bracken, along with children’s authors Tom Angleberger (Origami Yoda) and Adam Gidwitz (A Tale Dark & Grimm), were given the opportunity to adapt the first three Star Wars movies into chapter books for children. Bracken used her imagination, George Lucas’ film script and a 1981 radio drama script created by Brian Daley to create the first adaptation - The Princess, The Scoundrel, and the Farm Boy.
