Throughout September and October, the Barberton Library has joined with other local libraries in hosting book discussions and other educational events inspired by the themes explored in Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club by J. Ryan Stradal. The 2025 Summit County Community Read initiative delves into the ways food connects culture and communities- through shared traditions, culinary creativity, and personal stories. Saturday Night at the Lakeside Supper Club by J. Ryan Stradal tells the story of a couple from two two very different restaurant families in rustic Minnesota. Join us in reading the novel to see if these lovable characters can find a way to rebuild despite their losses and if the Lakeside Supper Club will be their salvation.
