Getting your favorite new bestseller just got easier!  Readers can now request that librarians automatically reserve new hardback fiction titles before they even hit the library shelves. This free service is open to patrons with Clevnet library cards in good standing.

  • Ask for a form at the Reference Desk at the library.  Choose up to five favorite authors from the list and provide your personal contact information.
  • Each time one of your selected authors publishes a new book, we'll place you on the reserve list for the release in random order.
  • We'll notify you as soon as your copy is ready to be picked up.

Make a Splash, Read!                                                                                                                                                          

Children can "Make a Splash-READ!" during this yer's summer reading club. Focusing on the world of water and water fun, children in preschool through eighth grade will enjoy stories, songs, games, and other exciting activities.  Registration for the summer reading club begins June 7th. Pick up a reading log in the Children's Room and start earning a different prize every week.

Don't miss The New Ocean Adventure Show with Captain Roger Dodger and Katie the Tropical Lady" a special performance to celebrate all the hard-workign reader on July 29th at 3 p.m.

Teen Summer Reading Club: 

Make Waves at Your Library                                               

Hey, teens, "Make Waves at Your Library" this summer. To participate, read or listen to a book, magazines or newspaper; listen to a CD; or play a video game. Then, fill out a simple review card and qualify for a weekly prize drawing. During the final week, readers will be entered into a grand-prize drawing nd participate in a wrap party, complete with pizza and karaoke.

 

Adult Summer Reading Club:   Water Your Mind: Read                                                                                                      

Adults can get in on the fun and win prizes too!  "Water Your Mind- READ" this summer and earn a chance to claim a weekly prize. For the final drawing, readers will have the opportunity to win a $30 gift certificate to Miss Molly's Tea Room. The summer reading program is for all grown-ups, whether your a regular visitor or a homebound reader. Read or listen to recorded books to join. Ask a librarian or outreach delivery person for information on summer reading activities.

The Barberton Library also has links to various employment resources.  Job Resources  connects users to many sites for job seekers: like CareerBuilder.com,  JobWeb and USA Jobs.
