The Friends of the Barberton Public Library exists to help enrich the services and materials provided to the community by the library. Through Friends support, additional programs and services that cannot be included in the Library's tax-supported budget are made possible. Special events, support for the summer reading programs, and an expanded calendar of programs are examples of projects made possible by the Friends of the Library.
The Friends of the Library has two main sources of funding: the generous support of members who pay yearly dues and the revenues generated by book sales.
Monthly meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:00pm in the Children's Room.
You are invited to attend!
The Friends' newest project is to make t-shirts available! Priced at just $10, they even make great gifts. Shirts are available in adult sizes from small to 2XL and are light gray with purple graphics. Shirts can be purchased by calling Elizabeth at 330-745-3358.
Mark your calendar for the next Friends of the Library sale! Books, music, and movies are available at very reasonable prices.
Assistance is Always Welcome
Are you looking for another way to support your library? One way is to make a contribution to the Friends of the Library, a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation to the Friends of the Library will help us to support the programs and activities of the library. Some of the way the Friends help is by supplying speaker fees for special events, underwriting portions of the summer reading club programs, and by purchasing materials and supplies that the library would not otherwise purchase. If you’d like to make a donation, simply click on the yellow “donate” button on the lower left side of the screen. This will take you to our PayPal account which is a secure and simple way to make a contribution. If you would prefer to mail a check, please make your check or money order out to “Friends of the Barberton Public Library” and drop it in the mail to us at:
