The American Diabetes Association (ADA) has designated the month of November as American Diabetes Month. According to the ADA, 23.6 million adults and children have diabetes, though it is estimated that 5.7 million do not know they have the disease. There are four types of diabetes: Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, Gestational diabetes, and Pre-diabetes. As the number of people who get diabetes continues to rise, it is a good idea to stay up-to-date on the latest information.
