March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month Colorectal cancer refers to cancer of the colon or rectum. It is the fourth most common cancer in the United States. It is often curable when caught early, so regular screenings for people 50 and over are important. Eating a healthy diet, getting regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, and limiting red meat and alcohol consumption can all help to reduce the risk of colorectal cancer.
