This fall, through the generosity of a $1000 grant from the Barberton Community Foundation, the Barberton Public Library will be able to offer to children and parents a program called Play and Learn. The Play and Learn program will provide an opportunity for children ages 2-5 and their parents or caregivers to play with a variety of toys that promote pre-literacy and pre-reading skills. Pre-literacy skills are skills that children need before they begin to read. These skills ensure that children will be successful readers and ready for Kindergarten.
