Appointed by and reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, the Director administers all library activities, including planning, budgeting and fiscal management, personnel activities, public relations, facilities maintenance, collection development and management and evaluation of library services. She works diligently to build upon the library's strengths and to actively develop a public library which is a vibrant and vital contributor to the community of Barberton.
Julianne is a member of the American Library Association as well as Ohio Library Council, where she is currently appointed to the Membership Committee. Presently she serves on the Board of the Kiwanis Club of Barberton, is a member of the Barberton-South Summit Chamber of Commerce and actively searches out opportunities to work with other groups in the Barberton Community.
